I like your *resolution*. Maybe I should call it a theme or aspiration?
Anyhow, I can relate since most of my friends are too far away to get together very often. Thanks to the world of blogging, I have made a few good friends that live within an hour's drive.
I had a dream about you last night. I know that sounds weird. But I dreamt that you took some sort of leadership role in your community (not sure what "community" whether academic, political, social or what -- fuzzy details in dream), and when I heard about it I thought, "Of course, I always knew what a powerful and brilliant woman she is." And I swear to God I'm not making that up.
Don't take the wrong risks though. Good choices have good results in life. And Always push yourself to a challenge... My quote is "Always believe to achieve. Always achieve to succeed." or "you won't accomplish what you do't try to gain." made them up.

Okay. Seriously. The "coincidence" of my dream and your post is flooring me right now.
Go for your resolution and my dream of it. Go for it.
Cheri,
That blows me away. Thanks for the affirmation.
Good luck--a plan beats a resolution every day!
Community... I love it! Hey, maybe we'll get a chance to meet in person this year. I am in Texas these days! :)
Merry 2010... and beyond! :)

Plans are so much better than resolutions... and community is a very good thing!
I'm all for your plan. You have to keep me, though, even if I do live in another state!
I am so keeping you, Kelly--along with all of my other out of state friends.
I think resolutions are overrated. A title sounds good. A plan even better. I'll be tuning in to see what unfolds.
Happy, Happy New Year to you!
I like the community theme. Meeting people does involve risk, although usually not as big as it feels.
Glad you are keeping me, too. Twenty nine years is a lot of love to throw away! :) Happy New Year- sorry I am so late in getting here.
I wish you great success with community. I need to work on it myself.
