There's a cat in the neighborhood who wanted to come live with us. That is, until she met Joel.

this reminds me of when Harvey Joined our family.We all ready had three cats,and Harvey decided that he was adopting us no matter what.
I was getting the stuff out of the car after a shopping run when I came back out Harvey was sitting in the back seat with a look as to say I'm staying.I told him that he had to take that up with every one inside. Mrs G.came out to see whom I was talking to and she saw the same look and said untill we know hes safe to be around the other cats he goes into isolation.the next day we were at the vets and he gave Harvey his shots and said that he was healthy and able to join the rest of our babies.
Of course there was the usual squabling until Harvey learned who was boss.

Poor Puss! She looks so confused by Joel's swearing! I guess your cat Joel isn't really looking for a roommate, eh? Both of them are very cute kitties, but I AM partial to cats anyway.

Oh gosh, I hate that cat growl. One of my cats does that every time a stranger cat appears in the yard, and it never ends well.

Joni Mitchell once wrote, "All I really, really want our love to do is to bring out the best in me and in you, too." It didn't. My partner and I have separated. We tried. We really tried. I am embarrassed to admit this. I even considered erasing this blog from the internet so that I would not embarrass myself or her. But my whole purpose in blogging was to have some kind of a community where I could be open and explore my writing in a personal way. You have shared the good things with me. In an effort to comfort me, both Mrs. T and Melanie mentioned some Texans who have made the world a better place. I can only say, amen, sisters. Here's one who makes me prouder than I can say. "Who then will speak for America? Who then will speak for the common good?" Barbara Jordon (1936-1996) was born in Houston Texas' West End. She became a state legislator in 1966, served as president of the "ledge," became a congresswoman, gained some notoriety during the Watergate hearings, and gave the key note address at the Democratic National Convention in 1976.
