Jaw-dropping Irony

Susan found this little book among her things yesterday.
It has, as you might imagine, many helpful quotes to motivate and inspire. But it is an older book--published in 1992.

Under the section for responsibility is a quote by O.J. Simpson:

The day you take complete responsibility for yourself, the day you stop making any excuses, that's the day you start to the top."

Ah yes, he did say that.

The irony is actually dripping through my computer screen. Ha. Let's hope he comes across this one in the prison library.

Mrs. G...I am having short term memory issues this morning and can't remember my google password.

I like motivational books...they keep me focused. I tend to read mostly fluff fiction tho nowadays.

That's funny - I recently saw an old Seinfeld episode where Elaine's boyfriend, Joel Rifkin, shares his name with a NY city mass murderer...it is causing a lot of problems and misunderstandings and Elaine is embarrassed and wants him to consider changing his name. She is going through sports magazines trying to help her boyfriend by suggesting macho names to him and she says, "Oh how about OJ? That’s a good name"....I was totally struck by this scene and how time can change everything - I wonder how Seinfeld feels when he see's that old episode now?
Hehe, well, he does say, "you" in the quote, not "me," after all! ;-P
